The History of Xinjiang

This twelve-part series introduces the history of Xinjiang from the Tarim Mummies of five thousand years ago to the commencement of the PRC in 1949. Today because of the controversy surrounding the issues of China’s treatment of Uyghurs in Xinjiang, it tends to drown out the past history, the people, events, coincidences, and twists of fate that led everything to the state of affairs we witness today.
